Malminderjit Singh Brings Geopolitical Expertise to Emergent

Malminderjit Singh (“Mal”) has joined Emergent as a Senior Advisor.

With a career spanning geopolitics, policy, and strategic communications, Mal has been at the centre of some of Asia Pacific’s most complex political and commercial developments.

He has advised political leaders, steered multinational companies through high-stakes market entry and regulatory challenges, held leadership roles in newsrooms and think tanks, and represented Singapore in trade negotiations shaping the region’s economic architecture.

Mal’s career includes leading the Asia Pacific operations of Speyside Group as Chief Operating Officer and Regional Director, heading the Singapore office of Penta Group, and delivering campaigns that bridged government priorities with corporate imperatives across technology, sustainability, finance, healthcare, and more.

His early career as a journalist with The Business Times and Editor (Digital News) at CNA honed his ability to distil complexity into clarity, while his tenure at the Ministry of Trade and Industry saw him as part of the negotiating team for the ASEAN-India FTA and other multilateral agreements, including the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community Service chapter. Across each role, he has built the coalitions and narratives that move agendas forward in challenging geopolitical environments.
