Nanda Min Htin Joins Emergent

Nanda Min Htin is a privacy and AI lawyer with expertise advising on data and AI governance, frontier AI safety, child online safety and adjacent regulatory topics. His work has placed him in dialogue with governments, civil society organisations, and corporations across the United States and Asia-Pacific, contributing to policy conversations on some of the most consequential technology questions of our time.

That engagement extends into the communities where much of this thinking is being shaped. He has spoken at expert-only convenings, facilitated the Center for AI Safety's flagship AI safety course, served with the IAPP's Washington DC chapter, contributed to the University of Toronto SRI's AI & Trust Working Group, and served as Steering Committee and founding member of the Asia-Pacific Legal Innovation & Technology Association.

His writing has appeared in the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology Digest, Just Security, The Diplomat, and East Asia Forum. He holds an LL.M. in Technology Law & Policy from Georgetown University and an LL.B. from Singapore Management University, where he received the IAPP Westin Scholar Award. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E/US) and Manager (CIPM).
