Welcoming Evangeline Lin as Senior Advisor

Transport, the movement of people and goods, is critical to the global economy. It is increasingly intertwined with geopolitics, trade, security, and technology, making the ability to navigate across governments, markets, industries, and relationships more important than ever.

It is against this backdrop that Evangeline Lin joins Emergent as a Senior Advisor, bringing more than two decades of experience across transport, international relations, security, and strategic advisory.

Evangeline spent more than two decades in the Singapore public service.  At Singapore’s Ministry of Transport and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), she advised ministers and senior officials on international strategy and co-ordinated Singapore’s global transport positioning across aviation, the maritime sector, and land transport. Her work also spanned trade, sustainability, digitalisation, automation, and port development, and involved representing Singapore at major international and regional forums.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a key role in negotiations to restore international transport connectivity, including with the European Union on the recognition of vaccination certificates.

Throughout her career, Evangeline contributed to international as well as national efforts to develop and implement solutions to security challenges in a balanced and pragmatic manner.  This included shaping initiatives at United Nations specialised agencies (the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Maritime Organization (IMO)), as well as building new regional and national programmes.  Effective engagement of all stakeholders, governments and industry alike, has always been a crucial part of her work.
